Cash Entitlements

The only absolute entitlement to cash at the time of dismissal is the minimum severance requirements as set out in the Ontairo Employment Standards Act or the Canada Labour Code.  Generally speaking, severance pay is owing under the Employment Standards Act only where an individual has been employed for more than 5 years and the employer has an annual payroll of 2.5 million or more in the province of Ontario.
